You know, I wonder sometimes if I'll ever venture out of my nature zone in my trek area...maybe it's just the easiest and most logical thing to take pictures of when you're starting out. If you take pictures of people, would that be crossing some line or law?
josh, i think that you pose some interesting curiosities in your post... what interests me the most is your curiosity between an urban and suburban space. Your story about the man thinking you were homeless plays into this curiosity. I haven't been to this space, but I think I can grasp what it looks like. You should look deeper into who hangs around this park and what kind of people travel through it. For images, you could juxtapose graffiti and shady characters with families, kids playing in the park. Also, I think you could play with the idea that this natural park is located right next to a busy intersection. I'm also interested in the unique sounds you can get under the bridge. You mentioned that you'd like to explore different sounds at different times of day. If it's possible maybe you could explore different sound and video option in this place with different types of weather barriers, like wind and rain for sound and sunny/overcast days for videos.
You stated : “6. Will I ever venture out of the nature areas of the trek zone?” Does this mean that you so far have only traveled in the more wild/nature specific areas? If so than for future work a change in surrounding could really set some pistons turning and create some good results. You pose a mixed bag of questions (this isn’t meant as bad) so is there anyway in which you could combine your questions/curiosities and create a project that addresses you personal questions while displaying or answering the social ones? I also think that when dealing the nature of you current trek, if you were to take that route you may end up overshooting what you hope to get. This could also work in reverse and you may end up with more than enough if you go into more detail with your questions (which will in return create more questions).
